How to pay NMC application fee for overseas nurses

Good day! I just received the request for application pack from the NMC, In the booklet it is said that I need to pay an application fee of 140GBP, i read that I can pay through check, bank draft or credit card. JUST THAT. There was no specific instruction on how to actually send your payment. Any overseas nurses out there who has already paid the application fee? how did you do it? if you used bank draft/personal checks, what banks do the NMC honor? Would really appreciate the help.

Do they require the original ones?

PRC needs the original documents...

Hi everyone. I read about the education requirements for NMC registration: If you started post-secondary education nursing program at an age earlier than 17 years and 6 months, your application is unlikely to be successful. But I think that the diplomas from elementary and high school will be enough proof that you have successfully completed at least 10 years of school education before starting BSN. In my case, I started college at 16 years, 9 months. Anyone had the same situation and got a positive decision/assessment letter?

I started my college when I was 16 years and 2 months. I already received my decision letter (june 10, 2010) and there is no problem. The 17 years and 6 months that they are talking about is your age when you formally start your major subjects or your clinical exposure. Mostly in the Philippines, major subjects start in third year as well as clinical exposure. I submitted my elementary and high school diploma as evidence of my completion of my general education. dont worry NMC is aware of how many years in every country you have to complete your elementary and high school thats why you just have to show them your evidence of completion. Like Philippines it is known that elementary is 6 years and high school is 4 years. I hope this information helps you..

thanks lime12 for the info..i appreciate it. God bless u more.

As far as I am aware NMC will not accept volunteer work it should be paid but suggest you contact the NMC and ask them

the professional reference can be filled up bby you medical director.. documents to be notarized are passport, birth certificate, registration certificate, nursing diploma, highschool diploma, elementary diploma.

a post registration experience requires 12 months full time or part time equivalent. this experience must commence after you are qualify as a registered nurse in your own country. how ever i cannot answer your question regarding clinic experience as a volunteer as NMC dont have specific rules for that. here is the rule which i quoted from NMC regarding post registration experience...

Practice requirements

When you apply you must have been practising as a registered nurse or midwife for at

least 12 months (full-time or the part-time equivalent) after qualifying. Also, if you have

been qualified for longer than this, you must have practised for at least 450 hours in the

previous three years.

If you do meet NMC requirements, but have not practised as a nurse for more than five

years, you will have to take a longer version of the Overseas Nurses Programme. If you

have not gained 12 months post-registration experience after you qualified as a nurse

then you should not apply for registration.

Hello everyone! Recently I have read from another forum that a fellow nurse has been denied by the NMC for registration because he is a second courser, thus he took the nursing course for just two years because of the subjects that were credited due to his previous course.

Is there anyone of you who is familiar with the AHSE degree, the Associate in Health Science Education? I am a first courser. But back in 2007, the AHSE became the curriculum in Nursing. AHSE for two years then BSN for another two years.. Will there be a problem in my application for registration with the NMC? Help anyone??

I am AHSE for 2 years and 2 years BSN.. i was then approved by NMC..

did you include your AHSE diploma with your registration? or did you just opt to disregard it and just considered your BSN diploma?
