How to pay NMC application fee for overseas nurses

Good day! I just received the request for application pack from the NMC, In the booklet it is said that I need to pay an application fee of 140GBP, i read that I can pay through check, bank draft or credit card. JUST THAT. There was no specific instruction on how to actually send your payment. Any overseas nurses out there who has already paid the application fee? how did you do it? if you used bank draft/personal checks, what banks do the NMC honor? Would really appreciate the help.

hey guys, I also have some questions regarding the NMC pack 2.

1. do you count prep and kinder school, thereby making your education prior to nursing 12 years... or is it just plain 10 years (grades 1-6 and high school)?

2. what do they mean by "school gen education certificates to show length of schooling?" my colleague said that all you have to show are the diplomas: elementary, high school, and college?

Mean_gurl: i do not know if it is advisable to have two sets. In my case, the lawyer who notarized my first docs is in a coma state so I think I have to notarized all again just for the sake of uniformity. Plus, they indicate the date when they notarize it so I would really like to notarized all again...

Hi! anyone who knows how many weeks it takes for me to receive the 2nd pack from NMC? I am a nurse in the Phils. I hope it wont take months before it arrives..hope to hear from you guys..thank you in advance.

hi there i will try my best to answer your question..

1. yes you can count it, the prep and kinder, as long as you have the evidence that you complete it like diploma or certificate. in my case i don't take prep nor kinder school that's why in my application i just put 1- years on it. and its ok i got my decision letter.

2. school general education certificates to show length of schooling is the the diploma in elementary and high school although most of the diplomas or certificates do not indicate the length of schooling however NMC knows how many years to complete a general education in each country. for example in the Philippines they know that elementary is 6 years and high school is 4 years. You just have to show them your evidence of completion like what i mentioned above. also you will submit your diploma in college as the evidence of completion of you bachelor of science in Nursing. all documents to be sent to them should be notorized or certified true copy.

i hope it helps you..

Thanks! I have another question, correct me if im wrong, since we need to send again with pack 2 the same notarized documents needed in pack1, is it wiser to have two sets photocopy of passport, PRC board certificate, and NSO brirth certificate all notarized at the same time in anticipation for pack 2?

i dont really know the answer to your question as i don't experience it. me, i separated it. i notorized the second set when i received my pack 2.

im a foreign educated nurse: have ielts: tbs 7, but writing and reading 6.5. have experience for 2 yrs in a 25 bed capacity hospital. an agency offers me a job in uk as domiciliary carer. i want to know if its worth it, i mean, considering the cost of living in uk, taxes to be paid, and other deductions.

also, in applying, do i really need to pay P300,000 or almost 5,000 pounds to the agency(inclusive of airfare, processing fee, etc.)

really need your reply asap, thank you.

Just curious on how you guys sent your documents? Is it through post office? I just want to make sure that my documents are sent.. Thanks in advance!

That's a lot of money, usually air fare is shouldered by the employer. Regarding your IELTS the NMC requires all scores of at least 7.0, and if you want to work in UK you need to register with them, otherwise you wont be working as a RN there.

Be cautious with agencies you deal with, especially in the Phil. God Bless!
