How to pay NMC application fee for overseas nurses

Published

Good day! I just received the request for application pack from the NMC, In the booklet it is said that I need to pay an application fee of 140GBP, i read that I can pay through check, bank draft or credit card. JUST THAT. There was no specific instruction on how to actually send your payment. Any overseas nurses out there who has already paid the application fee? how did you do it? if you used bank draft/personal checks, what banks do the NMC honor? Would really appreciate the help.

...prc will not sign the section on gud health., you need to have the application form signed by the hospital's personnel physcian

what if im already in uk when i apply to nmc? who can i ask to sign the section on good health?

is it really neccessary to have to 2 referees? i worked in a hospital from 2008-jan.2010,i have only one referee from there, im hoping to be in uk by nov. as a domiciliary carer, take my ielts there, then apply to nmc by april 2011.can i have a referee from my present employer even if i am just a domiciliary carer?

really need your reply... thank you...

If the NMC asks for 2 referees then Yes you need to get 2 referees, present employer should be accepted. I really can't see how you are going to get a work visa for the UK when unemployment is at it's highest for many years and the UK is tightening it's belt in the same way other countries are on work visa/permits but I hope you do find something

There is no website for credit card payment. What you have to do is call their office at 0207-333-6600. Be ready with your PRN and credit card details.

thank you so much Sir haroldleighton... Is there any other way on how i can send my fee then?? like bank draft?/ or it is only limited through credit card?? and if it is only thrugh card can i already call them even my request form is still on its way to uk??

Yes you can call them even if the forms are still on their way to the UK. As for other methods of payment, bank drafts are seldom used. However I read from other forums that bank drafts from PNB written in pounds were accepted. Payment thru credit card is the easiest, fastest and most convenient way of paying. If you'll be using someone else's card, it should be the owner who should call the NMC.

i think ill just use the easiest method like what u've said ^^ thanks alot!! Ur such a great help!!! Godbless you!!!

No worries. keep us posted. :)

tha pack 2 asks for stamps for verification.. may i know what are those stamps and who provides them? tnx

hi everyone! i just received the pack 2 for my nmc reg. i would just like to ask regarding some points.

1. do i need to have the cert for good health signed by a physician first before bringing the form to the PRC? what is the process of having this form complied by the PRC? do i have to pay certain fees there?

2. is it really necessary to include my elementary diploma? is there another way out of it? i lost my elem diploma and we transferred to another city...so it will be a bit time consuming to request for it over again...

3. the nursing education certificates, education certificates and school and gen education certificates all refer to diplomas from elem-college, right?

4. as for the registration certificate, is this the same with our PRC board certificate? or is it an entirely different cert that i have to secure?

thank you everyone!^^

btw, i am currently working with greenfields...i received correspondence from them, but no interviews yet...=(

Regarding the stamps, they are the dry seals of your school, your employer, and the PRC. Your school and PRC already know what to do with them. As for my employer, they stamped their dry seal.

1. PRC won't accomplish the declaration of good health. The declaration of good health on the application form should be filled out by the ER physician or in-house physician of your healthcare facility.

2. I know lots of applicants who didn't include their elem and hs diplomas. They all got their decision letters and they are now all in the UK.

3. certificate = DIPLOMA

4. Registration cert. = PRC BOARD CERTIFICATE
