Hi! It generally means an irritating significant others/patient companions. They see nurses like maids or errand boys/girls. The word "toxic" has been expressed by many Filipino Nurses to address not only the watcher. It can also be applied to hospital settings/situations, overcrowding patients, complicated patient case, hectic duty rota or schedules, unpleasant attitude of doctors, co-nurses and other colleagues and so on... Nurse 1: hey, how's your shift? Nurse 2: urgh it was toxic!

Well you can pay your application fee for the NMC thru credit card.. that's the easiest way and that's what i did... :) Call their hotline and make sure to have your PRN at hand and your credit card info.. you can pay them ahead of time eventhough you haven't send them your pack 1 yet. Well, regarding my application i'm still waiting for the decision letter. Greenfields have no employer yet as of now.. I think i'll also try ASC at the moment and see what i can get. I believe you have six months to complete the whole process (from the time you received your pack 1 until you send back application pack 2.) for those who have been through NMC process.. i just sent them my NMC pack 2 and now i'm just waiting for my decision letter. I hope to be approved by the NMC with God's undying support :) How many months would it take to have your decision letter? thanks! Kudos Nurses!

I would like to ask those who have been through their NMC pack2.. In the part wherein your declaration of good health needs to be signed by a doctor. Is it ok if our ER Physician would be the signatory for my Good health? Also,i don't understand what 'official stamp' is the NMC asking. Thanks.. P.S. I haven't heard updates from ploy_jam recently..hmm maybe he's now doing the ONP..ü I hope also to be part of the NMC and to attend the ONP..ü

hmm i'm not so sure if i can do that for you.. maybe it would be better if you contact them instead.. You can also ask them and clarify your concerns with the application process.. i'm going to send you a personal message. :)

I'll just share you my experience with that NMC thing.. I think it's much better if you will be the one to request for the Mandatory Pack1 from the NMC rather than to depend from any agency to have the Pack1 for you. Go directly to the NMC website, here is their direct link for those nurses trained outside Europe :pntrghi: REGISTRATION. On the bottom part there are helpful download files that would guide you through as well as the NMC Application Request form. With regards to the Greenfields, Yes they also sent me what they have sent you. I called them and asked if i really need to sign at once the Agreement they gave me. The agent i spoke to told me that it's not really necessary to sign it at once, what's important is that you fill up the other documents they sent you and return it to them ASAP so they could line you up for interview. Lastly, i believe that these two agencies are still waiting for an employer in the UK that would hire nurses that are not on the Shortage Occupation List. Keep your spirits up, it's better to have something to hope for than to have nothing at all.:)

hmm.. imo, i don't think withdrawing your papers from the ASC is a good idea.. have you signed any contract to them? I haven't signed any contract to ASC and Greenfields so far and i'm processing my papers to both of them It's like hitting two birds with one stone :) I think you can do the same as long you haven't signed any agreement yet.

I just got a phone call from ASC Global(Drake Affiliated)yesterday after filing my application to them last month. Now i'm not so sure if i'll pursue my application to them because i'm working with greenfields right now. :-D

I just started my papers with them last april23,2010 right after my ielts results came out ü I also applied to ASC thru their website on that same day, unfortunately until now i haven't received any response...

oh btw ploy_jam may i ask if you certified true copy your documents(passport,boardcertificate,birthcertificate) to the DFA or you just had it notarized by an attorney?

in greenfields they would require you to meet their initial requirements(ielts 7all, atleast 1yr experience) and fill up their documents and they'll line you up for NHS interview.
