How to pay NMC application fee for overseas nurses

Good day! I just received the request for application pack from the NMC, In the booklet it is said that I need to pay an application fee of 140GBP, i read that I can pay through check, bank draft or credit card. JUST THAT. There was no specific instruction on how to actually send your payment. Any overseas nurses out there who has already paid the application fee? how did you do it? if you used bank draft/personal checks, what banks do the NMC honor? Would really appreciate the help.

Nope haven't done that. Greenfields attached an agreement form together with other documents in the email they sent me. That agreement concerns me a lot hence i dint get back to them. Well I think i will have to wait for Greenfields if they have another hiring. I haven't heard from ASC anymore. Last time they told me about my NMC reg and that they would like to assist me with it. I'm still waiting for my first pack but until now it hasn't arrived yet. im losing hope and a great deal of patience as well:banghead:

I'll just share you my experience with that NMC thing.. I think it's much better if you will be the one to request for the Mandatory Pack1 from the NMC rather than to depend from any agency to have the Pack1 for you. Go directly to the NMC website, here is their direct link for those nurses trained outside Europe :pntrghi: REGISTRATION. On the bottom part there are helpful download files that would guide you through as well as the NMC Application Request form.

With regards to the Greenfields, Yes they also sent me what they have sent you. I called them and asked if i really need to sign at once the Agreement they gave me. The agent i spoke to told me that it's not really necessary to sign it at once, what's important is that you fill up the other documents they sent you and return it to them ASAP so they could line you up for interview. :D

Lastly, i believe that these two agencies are still waiting for an employer in the UK that would hire nurses that are not on the Shortage Occupation List. Keep your spirits up, it's better to have something to hope for than to have nothing at all.:)

I will look on it. ASC also require their nurses to be currently employed. Actually, I am not working right now. I just got back to the Phil to take my IELTS and look for agencies to help me. Now I cant even get volunteer spots in local hospitals here. I have been contemplating to go back to the middle east. The irony is its easier to get a job there than from local hospitals here in the Philippines. I am confident, given my work experience and fluency in arabic language.

May I ask for a favor? Can you please ask greenfields if they allow their applicants to be currently employed overseas?

Lime, how long did you process your NMC application starting from receipt of Pack 1 until the completion of Pack 2? Can you please also recount what documents were needed and what processes were entailed for each pack (e.g. authentication or whether it needed to be notarized etc.)

Can someone else do our NMC applications in the Phil if we are currently working overseas?

actually im here in UK now as student visa.. i start processing my papers last march 2010.. documents needed by NMC that to be processed in the Philippines were process by my relatives there. if you are in other country you can address you application to your present country and allow your relatives to process your paper in the Philippines.. for PACK 1 you need basic requirements like Diploma, passport, board certificate, birth certificate... you can request pack 1 using the internet... IELTS is required for you to have a PACK 1. for PACK 2 you need the same basic requirements like in PACK 1 (also diploma from high school and elementary are required), you need confirmation of registration from PRC, confirmation from your college where you graduated BSN and 2 separate referees. confirmation from PRC and from your school and from your 2 referees has form individually that to be filled up by the designated authorities/person and to be send by them directly to the NMC.. 2 referees might be your present/past chief nurse or senior nurse or head nurse etc which you work together for atleast 12 months and the other referee is for atleast 3 months... all my documents has been completed and received by NMC last May 16 2010.. according to them i need to wait for 2-3 months for my decision letter and in God ways i can undergo ONP/adaptation... Godbless us..

Thanks for that info. I already have my IELTS and more than 2 years of work experience. Just wanna know if my family can do the NMC processing for me while im overseas. Did the PRC require any authorization or power of attorney in processing your papers? My NMC pack 1 was requested by the agency im working my applications with now. They will be the one to forward it to me.
