Good day! I just received the request for application pack from the NMC, In the booklet it is said that I need to pay an application fee of 140GBP, i read that I can pay through check, bank draft or credit card. JUST THAT. There was no specific instruction on how to actually send your payment. Any overseas nurses out there who has already paid the application fee? how did you do it? if you used bank draft/personal checks, what banks do the NMC honor? Would really appreciate the help.
hi there. is there anyone here planning to register to NMC or anyone already registered? how was it? are they very strict? thanks a lot.
Yes they are strict, you have to meet all of their criteria for registration otherwise you will not be permitted to register as a nurse in the UK. This means that the standard for registration as a qualified nurse in the UK is exactly the same for every applicant, no exceptions
hi!yup on the application form (the 2nd package that will be sent to you after the payment), it is stated in the instruction sheet that the filled up form must be accompanied by notarized copies of all your education certificates or diplomas (everything from elementary to highschool and college) this will support the info that you have achieved atleast 10 years formal education before starting the nursing program which is a requirement.
hopefully it is the notary public who can translate it for me. i think i'll call their office to be sure.
regarding your employment offer, what is your agency here in the phils? can you give me their contact details? hehehe.... i was interviewed last 1st week of february, i think i flunked the interview:crying2: the hospital never called back. and my agency said they will line me up if ever another employer shows interest which is i think a subtle way of them saying..... you freakin failed your interview!!!!!!don"t screw it up the next time!!!!!!!!!!! i was very nervous then which was very obvious to the prospect employer because my answers were all over the place.
if you could give me a nice agency, i will really appreicate it! hehehe... as the saying goes "if you scratch my back i'll scratch yours"
just pm me
keep in touch...
long live the pinoy nurse!!!!!!!!!!
:yeah:
:yeah:
ploy...i was also interviewed by my agency last week and i think i also screw it up...what's your agency?
I'm with greenfields international. but its fine now, I got the job from the interview.. hopefully the processing wont take too long.
Hi ploy! i also applied to the Greenfields agency. I also recently requested the NMC for an application pack and they told me that i would receive my application pack within 21 working days.. i'm really looking forward on having an interview and a job.. :)
wow!!! thanks guys!!! been looking all over the net regarding this topic,
just got mine last april30 and i havent the vaguest on how to send the said fee, but eventually, you answered it...:anpom:btw, anybody here who's in contact with Greenfields Int'l? I think i'll pursue my application to UK with them, it's just that i think it'll be more comforting on my part knowing someone who's with me... thanks and hope to hear from you soon.. :tku:
Just out of interest....have you all passed your IELTs academic at 7.0.
Agencies here in Australia advise to pass this first, before applying to the nursing board...I have heard this test is a challenge for some english only speaking people. The hospitals can offer you the world but no IELTS no registration. No job.

I think no one. All I know is that you have to get the "Academic Module" not the General Training even you got a high grades in IELTS.
