How to pay NMC application fee for overseas nurses
I know nursing in the Uk and the phils. is totally different. Nope I'm still not working on in the UK, but hopefully soon I will. I have close to 3 years experience as a staff nurse in the ER, I took the IELTS, submitted my creds to the agency I said earlier passed the interview and followed thier instructions regarding NMC applications, basically that's it . I think some of you guys mis understood what was on the email, the med-surg they are refering to are nurses who are working in the medical-surgical wards. I know it's not on the shortage list, but If I were you I'd give it a try you won't pay for any placement fee for the agency anyway... the 2nd hand info I got were from very close friends and co-workers who are working as nurses *with work permits* in the UK already.

How to pay NMC application fee for overseas nurses
Actually I think you could still get a visa eventhough the medical-surgical ward nurse category is not on the shortage occupation list. What the sponsor will do is they will conduct a resident labor market test, they will advertise the job for 4 weeks and if there are no takers they then could sponsor a nurse outside the UK and EEU countries to fill the post..... I think it could be done I know a lot of nurses who specialize in the medsurg dept. who are already in the UK (with work permits) working in NHS hospitals. during the time that they applied mesurg was already out of the shortage list...

@ mean_gurl98: I believe ASC's present client is Blackpool victoria NHS trust. I'll post an excerpt of the email they sent me: Hi Mr. ...., we just finished the successful interviews of ROYAL NATIONAL ORTHOPAEDIC HOSPITAL NHS TRUST- Government Hospital (located at Brockley Hill Stanmore, Middlesex United Kingdom). They arrived here in the Philippines last February 26, 2010 and commenced the interviews from March 01-03, 2010. ALL who passed the interview signed the offer letter and had their complete medical last March 04, 2010. They hire THEATRE or O.R./RECOVERY & MS-ICU Nurses, their target deployment date will be June or July 2010! Right now, we have an on-going interview of BLACKPOOL VICTORIA HOSPITAL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST – Government Hospital, located at Whinneys Hey Road, Blackpool Lancashire, United Kingdom, interview schedule (MAY 03-05, 2010). They are in need of MEDICAL SURGICAL Nurses ONLY. For us to line up your application for the next interview, you must possess our requirements: Our primary requirements are: - 1 year hospital experience in a tertiary hospital - IELTS scores of 7.0 in ALL of the components WE CANNOT MOVE FORWARD YOUR APPLICATION WITHOUT VALID IELTS NOR IF YOU HAVE INSUFFICIENT HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE. If you possess all of those 2 requirements, then we will schedule you for the interview of our Nurse Consultant, she will assess your technical skills and if you will pass with her evaluation, we will finally schedule you for the interview of our UK Hospital client, the interview will be face to face and most of the time PANEL interview minimum of two and maximum of 4 panel interviewers. If you will pass the interview, we will process you in 5 -7 months. Since WE ARE NOT COLLECTING ANY PLACEMENT FEE or any form of SALARY DEDUCTION, YOU have to shoulder three things: medical (P6,000 is the most, depending on the medical exam requirements of the hospital and you are going to pay it directly with ASIA PACIFIC MEDICAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTER- Makati), 2nd, your NMC Registration Fee which cost £140 (It's YOUR registration, thus it's YOUR COST), your are going to pay it directly with NMC, and last one the VISA filling fee for WORK VISA (£270) which you are going to pay directly in the UK embassy. The benefits if ever you passed the interview: Contract will be directly coming from the hospital, airfare ticket from point of hire Philippines to UK is FREE, salary approximately £25,000.00/annually, minimum of 27 paid leave every year and the COS (Certificate of Sponsorship) will be shouldered by the hospital (You can't have the WORK VISA without the COS). If you have pending application in USA, we will NOT ask you to withdraw it, you can continue processing your EB3 (immigrant application) while you are working in United KINGDOM and waiting for the retrogression to be lifted, thus it's a win-win situation for you! Immigration rules: Married can bring their spouse and children below 16 years old (you can petition them in less than 12 months – it’s YOU who will process your dependents not ASC Global Recruitment as we only process the deployment of the Nurse alone), single can only invite their parents and siblings in United Kingdom using VISIT VISA. Just for your information, just last year from January to December 2009, we already deployed/sent a lot of Nurses to United Kingdom and all are currently working as Nurse to the following NHS (National Health Services)- a government Trust Hospitals: - WEST MIDDLESEX UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL NHS TRUST - ROYAL NATIONAL ORTHOPAEDIC HOSPITAL (1st batch flew September 2009) - SALISBURY DISTRICT HOSPITAL - LUTON & DUNSTABLE NHS TRUST - BASILDON & THURROCK UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL - SOUTHAMPTON HOSPITAL NHS TRUST - BMI (BRISTISH MEDICAL INSDUSTRY) – PRIVATE - NORTH TEES & HARTLEPOOL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST. How to pay NMC application fee for overseas nurses
@ mahbunchai: regarding the certification of documents, I just had mine authenticated by a notary public, but on the 2nd pack of the application there are documents that need to be filled up and sent directly to the NMC by the PRC and your school, you'll see the instructions attached with the application pack when it arrives... Good luck with your application.. @ mean_gurl98: I went to pursue my application with greenfields because it was them who contacted me first (jan 2010), ASC emailed me much later (late april 2010). It would be ungrateful on my part if I will transfer from greenfields to ASC considering it was greenfields who helped me process my NMC and set me up for two interviews. anyways I heard very positive feedbacks regarding ASC, just bear with them, a lot of my former colleagues who are in the UK already are with ASC and they have been very successful.

Deart mahbunchai, Greetings! Tips? hmmm.... hehehe based from my experience with the interview from ashford and st. peter's (which I failed BTW lol ) they are more inclined to ask with the technical aspect of the job (ECG tracing, management of chest pains, falls, nosocomial infections) it was the matron who interviewed me thru skype, it went horribly because I wasnt expecting those to be asked. With my second interview it was with Northwest London Hospital NHS trust and it was a face to face interview, their questions was more focused on your personal judgement regarding certain situations, like how you would react to conflicts in the workplace, changes i shift patterns etc. the technical aspect was done on the written interview, multiple choice questions about anatomy 10 items drug computations.Do good on the written because this comprises half the score of the interview I would suggest you prepare atleast 5 questions to the employer, focus your questions more on the "work" aspect, it is their method of knowing what are your real motives in going to the UK, dont ask questions as if you are going on a holiday (questions like is the hospital near buckingham palace? or what places are nice to visit during this time of year?) doing so would produce drastic results based on experience hehehe.. it would give an impression that you are expecting a holiday and not some back breaking hospital work. Try to show that you are really going to the UK because of work not because you want to have a good time. with ASC global from what I have heard it is focused more more on the NCP (I dont know how true, maybe it depends on the employer). I hope my tips would help you in your coming interview.I am speaking from experience and I cannot guarantee that you would be exposed to the same conditions. I wish you best of luck and sincerely hope you would pass :-) Good luck and stay positive! kaya mo yan!! hehehe Long Live The Pinoy nurse!!!!!!! :-)

hi! yup on the application form (the 2nd package that will be sent to you after the payment), it is stated in the instruction sheet that the filled up form must be accompanied by notarized copies of all your education certificates or diplomas (everything from elementary to highschool and college) this will support the info that you have achieved atleast 10 years formal education before starting the nursing program which is a requirement. hopefully it is the notary public who can translate it for me. i think i'll call their office to be sure. regarding your employment offer, what is your agency here in the phils? can you give me their contact details? hehehe.... i was interviewed last 1st week of february, i think i flunked the interview:crying2: the hospital never called back. and my agency said they will line me up if ever another employer shows interest which is i think a subtle way of them saying..... you freakin failed your interview!!!!!!don"t screw it up the next time!!!!!!!!!!! i was very nervous then which was very obvious to the prospect employer because my answers were all over the place. if you could give me a nice agency, i will really appreicate it! hehehe... as the saying goes "if you scratch my back i'll scratch yours" just pm me keep in touch... long live the pinoy nurse!!!!!!!!!! :yeah::yeah:

It would be much quicker and painless to pay by credit card, That's what I did (i used my sister's BPI mastercard, with her consent of course) contact the finance department by email, they will then provide you with a phone number to call which someone would ask for the details of your card (know the details 1st before calling e.g. 16 digit number, name of the owner of the card and expiry of card). Don't forget to have your Personal Reference Number (PRN) handy that is what they will ask first after your name. you can confirm if the payment has been successful by checking your account statement at the cards toll free number... Hope That helps... I'm Filipino too BTW Now my turn to ask hehehe.. I'm confused regarding the translation of documents to english, who is authorized to translate? and in what format? (my elementary diploma is in filipino) do I need to obtain a new english diploma from my elementary school? (I hope not, that would be tedious work) Please help I have no idea what to do...
