  1. :nurse:Hi. I'm confused. I asked the same thing in the thread Questions for Suzzane and her answer was $60 to send the CA test result, she said its this much beacuse they have to do it manually. Was I mistaken? Is it $10 and not $60? Thanks! :wink2: https://allnurses.com/forums/f75/questions-suzanne4-160148-516.html
  2. I mean do we apply to another state for initial licensure again if we dont have the SSN at time we need to renew license already?
  3. Hi Silverdragon! :) Would just like to ask, if one cannot renew their license without a SSN, what do we do? Apply to another state till Retrogression is over and we get the SSN? Thanks! :wink2:
  4. happy birthday suzanne! thanks for all the help! :balloons:
  5. Hi! Start by going through the NZ Nursing Council website at http://www.nursingcouncil.org.nz Read the infos there. You can download their forms also from their site.
  6. To angelNZ, I have the same questions as florencenightingale, hope you can help us. Thanks!
  7. Hi! Can you PM me your agency? The placement is lower than what mine quoted. But the fee for Competency Assessment is a bit high. I think that amount would cover 3 months assessment training already, if they find that you lack a little more skill and knowledge. Thanks!!
  8. Hi! I was going to PM or email you, but you dont have contact info...can you pls email or PM me, so I can tell you the agency I talked with? I also would like to know more about the Competency assessment. Thanks!!!
  9. Hi! I already have the IELTS. Can you/anyone tell me how the Competency Assessment training is? What is it like? Is it like attending school with lectures, homeworks, reports? Know anyone who failed that? Also, I'd like to know if it is better to have a consulting firm to guide you? I am thinking that it might be hard to go to a foreign place, by myself, not knowing anyone, with nobody to guide me during the first few weeks. I talked with a consulting firm, and their program includes helping me with the application, meet and greet at the airport in NZ, including transportation to and from school during the training...but of course it would cost me big bucks... Any comments will be appreciated. You can email or PM me. I need feedback soon because this is really a big step.. plus my IELTS will expire this year, so I need to decide my fate soon. Thanks a lot!
  10. Good day! I am considering trying my luck as a nurse in New Zealand. Can anyone here help me and tell me what to expect in the 2-3months competency assessment? Is it really like attending formal school where you have lectures, exams, reports? Anyone ever failed that?? How long does it take to get a working visa after registering with NCNZ, provided of course one passed the assessment? How long does it take to get permanent residency? How do I find a good consulting agency that can help me with the processing? Or dont I need one anymore? I also would appreciate it if Filipino Nurses can share their experiences in NZ. Was the transition hard? How do you like the weather? Any practical tips about starting my application to work as a nurse there besides looking at the NCNZ website? Thanks a lot in advance!
  11. Thanks arys1075 and flyinghigh!
  12. Hi! :) Just want to ask how long, in general, are contracts in Dubai? Does or can anyone suggest a good agency? How does one go about getting a job there? Do they require a work experience? I only have volunteer work experience, with a month and a half training in hemodialysis. I am just thinking of trying it there because of the retrogression in the US. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!
  13. That would be great! Thanks for all the help Suzanne!
  14. welcome back! we missed you!
  15. congratulations nurse margo!!! i am so happy for you and your family!
