Good day! I just received the request for application pack from the NMC, In the booklet it is said that I need to pay an application fee of 140GBP, i read that I can pay through check, bank draft or credit card. JUST THAT. There was no specific instruction on how to actually send your payment. Any overseas nurses out there who has already paid the application fee? how did you do it? if you used bank draft/personal checks, what banks do the NMC honor? Would really appreciate the help.
Are all foreign trained nurses required to do the ONP? How long is the ONP for?
If you read the NMC website it will tell you who needs to do ONP and gives a rough idea on how long it is. Courses have to be through an approved college or university and I don't think there are that many these days doing it
Hi guys, I really need you help on this, should the RLE hours be atleast 2300 hours? I am Not a second courser and my total RLE hours is 2142 hours. Thank you so much!!!!
hi anna! i have 2142 RLE hours as well, but i pushed through with my application. there's no harm in trying you'll only lose some money and time. they received all my docs last march 15. i'm waiting for their decision. im hoping they'll give me an approval.
hi im an indian nurse.i'd like to know if going to uk on a tier 4 visa for the ONP is advisable.have any of you guys heard of/know anyone whose done that?..how different is it from the tier 2 visa in terms of work during ONP and chances of employment after it? i dont fit the description of the nurses in the present UKBA shortage list.will that be a problem once iv completed ONP?..PLEASE HELP!!
My understanding is Tier 4 is for students and if a employer wishes to apply for a student who is on Tier 4 they have to apply to the UK Borders for a sponsor license. With current UK high unemployment and nurses struggling to find work because nurses are loosing NHS jobs it will be hard

try backreading this thread.
If I remember it right, RN's from FEU have this dilemma regarding RLE hours.
but still they got approved.
Hi guys! I just have inquiries, what are the instances wherein your decision letter won't be approved? Thanks!
I think it's when your post registration experience as an RN is not at least 1 year as stated on the first pack.
Another case would be the applicant's RLE hours significantly does not reach the minimum required by the NMC. (perhaps RLE hours way less than 2000.)
Also, in extreme cases, the post qualification experience the applicant declared for his/her application is fraudulent. (for those thinking about gaining work experience fraudulently, don't even think about it. them Brits conduct thorough background checks to make sure everything you put in the application form is true. they verify those info.)
