How to pay NMC application fee for overseas nurses

Good day! I just received the request for application pack from the NMC, In the booklet it is said that I need to pay an application fee of 140GBP, i read that I can pay through check, bank draft or credit card. JUST THAT. There was no specific instruction on how to actually send your payment. Any overseas nurses out there who has already paid the application fee? how did you do it? if you used bank draft/personal checks, what banks do the NMC honor? Would really appreciate the help.

anna_potter, You can write the return address on the courier's pack/plastic envelope.

Also, Metrobank does a bank draft in pounds.. :)

Thanks for the info!

Hi helloimDee, what do you mean by the courier's pack/plastic envelope? Thay only provided me with an envelope (not plastic).. :) so you mean that i'll write my name in the upper left hand corner in the envelope that they have provided in the pack? Thank you somuch!

anan_potter I guess its okay to write the return address on the envelope, but I preferred to leave mine blank.

I wrote the return address on the courier's (LBC) pouch bag. You can also send it via DHL, Fedex, etc. they'll provide a pouch too.

has anyone found a supervised practice placement already? I never thought finding a placement would be this difficult. I got my decision letter last Nov, and I've been in London for a year now. I hope I do find a placement and do the ONP before my visa expires...

It is valid for 2 years since the date on the decision letter.

Hi all, are there any updates of POEA licensed agencies that has employment for nurses in UK? Thanks so much!

Hi cycyzie i just wanna asked what type of visa did u used to get in UK?? I hope ul find your placement soon.. Godbless po..

Hi anna_potter, have u pursue ur Gv application??? I also attended their orientation before...... ;)

Hello there! I'm a newbie here... well just want to ask if anybody here got there tier 2 visa and is heading to UK for the ONP??? Actually, I do have my NMC decision letter as well but since the UKBA became so strict right now, and requires foreign nurses to secure a sponsor and a job placement first before going to UK for the ONP, its like entering the eye of a needle... I also tried applying to numerous hospitals in the UK online but unfortunately, to my dismay, the told me they prefer UK PINNED NURSES already which means they are already registered nurses in the UK... so depressing but anyhow, lets just wait and see for the amendments made by the UKBA re immigration etc. in the UK this coming april 2011, if there's still hope, but lets not lose hope for there is hope :nurse:

hi everyone! i received my nmc mandatory pack today. hoping everything will turn out ok. and planning to tie up with gvs as well but ill try to look for employers first. :)

oops, i forgot to ask on my earlier post. while looking at my school docs which i have requested before, my total RLE hours is only 2142. as we all know, the required is 2300.

i've read before in this forum that they pursued with the application. any news or update? where you guys given a positive feedback (for filipino nurses with rle hours below 2300)?

thank you!
