Mine is about the same. I also go to a community college in NY.

community college $40/hr in district, $80 out of district, then $160 i think out of state.

$29/hr, $100 minimum for my local community college.

$11/credit for residents....not sure how much for nonresidents, I think it's like $120/credit...

Small community college in midstate WI. $68.00 a credit. Geez..............I'm gonna move.

Kelligirl, I'm a fellow SoCalifornian, and I just looked up the nonresident tuition for the community college close to me... $134/credit, in addition to the $11/credit.

And everyone else might be intereted to know that it used to be $13/credit but it's been lowered to $11 in the last few years!

$131.95, to be exact! That's for state residents, including a $7 campus fee

aahh, I love all those mystery fees...

Wow!! Those are cheap rates!! Ours are $142 per credit in state and 375 for out of state. We also have allot of foreign students that come on full scholarships.

My local sommunity college just raised it to $90/credit

Well, mine is $360 PER credit hour but I am at a BSN program that is a private university which is MY own dumb problem. If I had to do it all over again. I would have just simply took courses in another major or start a minor while waiting and sitting out for about 9 months. See what happened was I finished all pre-req's and my assoicate's in liberal arts degree in December of 2000. Well, the nursing program I am at starts a new class every January so I thought wow perfect timing all though the school I am at was not my first choice it was my third choice :o but again that is my own problem. I just had the burning desire to start nursing school and not wait any longer and I still have not heard from the other schools I had apply for August of 2001 so there was not guarantee rather or not I would get in and I already knew I was accepted into the school I am currently at now. Well, anyway if I could do all over again I would have waited for my first or even second choice and not only would I have been at the school I REALLY wanted to be at, I would have also saved LOTS and LOTS of money. I have learned a lesson. ALWAYS be PATIENT and don't try to hurry getting done with school. Sometimes it is just best to wait to get to your dreams. You will get to the top at some point anyway.

Hey KRVRN!

I used to live in Chula Vista! Do you go to Southwestern? That's where I did all my pre-reqs and wanted to take the program there, but my husband got a great job opportunity, and we moved. :(

I sure do miss the California tuition rates! Here it is $31 per credit hour for instate tuition, and $173 for out of state. I had to wait for a year after we moved here to be eligible for the instate rates.
