How much is your pay?

Published

I'm just curious...

Salaries varies from state to state, as well as the years of experience, and the area of specialty, right? How much is your pay per month? :heartbeat :nurse: :heartbeat

I make $24.75 base with a 12.5% differential for evenings and an additional 10% differential for weekends...so about $27.80/hr during the week and $30.32 on weekends. That is for a community hospital outside of Boston.

I have about 6months experience and work on a cardiac tele floor...

I live in Connecticut. I'm an RN with 15 years experience in Cardiac nursing. I just became certified in Cardiovascular nursing. I will get my BSN this year. I make 37.00/hr. What's more important to me is my 5 weeks of vacation. 7 paid holidays. 2 weeks of sick time a year. I also have a 403B with 4% matching from agency.

32 an hour...6 yrs experience MASS

Wow that $$ amazes me. I figured Dallas would be higher for pay. I know some places have low RN pay but usually the cost of living is lower. I thought dallas was equivalent somewhat to certian areas of California.

Cost of housing in California is much higher.

Los Angeles compared to Dallas. Houses are about 3x more expensive

Dallas / Ft. Worth houses are cheap due to: Lots of land, and lots of illegal aliens doing new contruction. That makes houses in very cheap here.

I live in Michigan. I am an RN with 26 years experience. I have worked for my current facility almost 19 years. The top pay at my hospital is $34.10 (I know because I just asked yesterday). After 19 years I was at $28.41!!!

I discussed it with my new manager ( I just switched jobs within the facility) and she gave me a 3% raise. (that would not have happened with my previous manager).:nono:

She also told me they were looking into this problem and would be making adjustments. I will believe that when I see it. We do not have a union.

I find it pathetic that an experienced RN with 26 total years experience is making now $29.26 (after confronting someone) when the top of the scale is $34.10. They have absolutely no respect or appreciation for experience.:(:(:confused:

Nope, that was one of the better starting rates I found...a couple of hospitals even started at $19.50/hr...With experience, there is much better reimbursement for agency/contract or PRN RN's. But new grads in the area start off close to the same rates. We're waaay behind Cali in many ways in respect to nursing...but cost of living is MUCH lower!!! A decent house can be purchased for $150,000.

That is great :) Is that starting wage in Ma. I am a new grad moving to Harwich. Hopefully working at Cape Cod Hospital. But I can't get any starting wage figures. What did you start at? Thanks Nikki
