I'm just curious...
Salaries varies from state to state, as well as the years of experience, and the area of specialty, right? How much is your pay per month? :heartbeat :heartbeat
I was kind of amazed as i read the posts ... one month ago, i was called by the local medical center here in lucena city because they said that im already hired as a staff:nurse:. I heared that staffs from this hospital is making 11,000-15,000 a month. Not bad for a newly grad i thought ( I graduated last year). After the interview and all, i was told that i will only have 250.00 a day (that's 5 dollars for 10 hours work)
... I was assignd to pedia-picu department... we have up to 80 patients and only 1 to 2 nurses per shift and works up to 10 hours
...to make it short after a month, when i was about to get my salary, they told me that the hospital wont renew the new applicants since they have no budget:crying2:... Its up to me if i will still continue with my work!
... ofcourse I will continue since I need to get an experience and make my self more productive and efficient nurse...
needless to say, I'am now working for FREE!
The only consideration I get is that my patients always appreciate my work and always told me how great I am as a nurse!:heartbeat:redbeathe

$5 to $7 per day in Philippines is standard.
Labor is cheap in PI, and Raw Material is high.
Just the opposite in USA, where Labor is expensive and raw material is cheap.
Sadly with the influx of so many illegal aliens in the USA and all the anchor babies they are having. I think base salary for most profession will go down greatly in the next 50 years.
And in the next century the USA will loose it Super Power status and become just another country... Sad but true.
Just under 50 an hour, with evening shift differential, 1 year experience.:wink2: Bay area, california
*jaw-dropping*
What a great salary...maybe a trip to SF is in order in the future. I know it is expensive to live there, but I was told if you live more inland you can find affordable housing- right?
Must be a typo in here somewhere! Perhaps you meant $25.00 per hour? (5 dollars for 10 hours work is actually $50.00)... ?? Very confused!
This is in the Philippines, RN's make about $5 to $7 per day.
Average salary in Philippines is about $200 Per Month.
To get a job you must not be a certain height, A certain age range, and usually you submit a picture with your application.
No such thing as age/race/color/creed discrimination in the Philippines.

$22.95/hr, days, on medical floor with less than 1 year RN (ADN) experience. Rural Northeastern Iowa. I started out at 21.86/hr after graduation last July 07. I just had my first eval as RN and was given a (very generous and higher than normal) 5% raise, I credit mostly to hard work, good patient rapport and feedback, and a good-working relationship with my unit manager. Also, I was given a higher entry into practice pay than most new grads due to a "life experience" credit for 10 yrs LPN experience (clinic, hospital, LTC). I was making only 14.87/hr at this same hospital (same unit) as LPN just prior to graduation. Which was a pay cut from my previous LPN position at a LTC $16.00. I believe most new RN grads start out at $18/hr with a $1/hr shift diff for PM's and noc's. Everyone gets an additional $1/hr on weekends. I have seen the pay stubs of nurses who have been with this hospital for >20 years and they are making just under $27/hr, which is kind of dismal if you ask me. Either I am going to hit the proverbial "pay ceiling" very quickly, or the raises are going to be substantially less than I initially experienced.
