How much do you pay monthly for Health insurance?

Published

Just wondering how much fellow nurses pay per month in health insurance. Thanks!

Nearly $500/month for health and dental for family (No vision option). This is an employer plan so they also cover part of the tab. My deduct. are around $3,000 per person or $12,000 for family. $15 copay for acute visits with PCP - $45 if seen by a specialist. Copays for walk in clinics, ER, xrays, etc.

100$ pre-tax every 2 weeks for single coverage. Includes medical/Rx, dental, and vision. No deductibles. Used to be free but Governor Christie made a law for state employees to pay health insurance.

188.00 a month or 47.00 a week with NO DEDUCTIBLE! I work for an ambulance company and I was recently offered a part time position on the IV team, and the benefits were terrible, which is why I did not take the position.

I paid either 50 or 100 every 2 weeks for medical insurance. To cover my children, it would have cost over 1000/month, so I only covered myself.

Through the market place: $300/month for my husband & I. My son is on Medicaid.

$85/month for medical, dental, vision and orthodontia for the whole family. $1000 deductible for the family. many regular services and preventative prescriptions are covered 100% outside the deductible.

I pay $784 monthly. I'm self-employed, just graduated nursing school in December. It's great coverage though. $1500 deductible that only applies to labs/x-rays, no referrals needed for anything. Prescriptions are $10. $4k max out of pocket for the year. While I'm looking forward to having an employee-sponsored plan, I doubt my coverage will be as good. It's a COBRA-turned -HIPPA guaranteed issue plan. Nothing on the exchange was remotely comparable.

I thought I'd update. I'm getting a job & they pay 100% for me $ 50% for the hubs. The deductible is $2,000.

I pay $108 monthly for coverage just for myself.

$306 Health and Dental for myself only. My job is offering insurance but its horrible coverage, so I had to purchase on my own.

I'm self-employed but here in MA we've all been required to have health insurance for a lot longer than the ACA has been around. I cover just myself. I have always shopped for coverage with my independent insurance broker every year, getting decent rates as a member of the state small business association. After the ACA came in have been able to steadily decrease my costs from around $750/month with a $5000 annual copay/deductible to about $475 with $7500 (fortunately also fairly healthy). Now although I'm still working I am totally enjoying Medicare at $118/month plus a supplemental policy that COMPLETELY ELIMINATES ALL COPAYS AND DEDUCTIBLES (that IS worth shouting about) that runs about $200/month.

Sweet husband is on straight Medicare for $106/month out of his social Security with no supplemental policy, so we pay the approximately half of his costs that Mcare doesn't cover. Fortunately he's healthy, so not too much.

$0! My employer offers free medical, dental, and vision coverage for the employee AND family. That is for an HMO plan, no deductible, $15 office copay. They do have PPO options that I would have to pay for, but we are happy with the free option. :D
