How much do you pay monthly for Health insurance?

Published

Just wondering how much fellow nurses pay per month in health insurance. Thanks!

My husband is self-employed, and I don't work full time. Our premiums are over 2K a month. Yep, 2K for a family of 3, with huge deductibles to boot.

$320/month just for me on student health insurance. It's decent coverage for the most part, and about the same as what I was paying privately through the market before starting school.

It's just me and I pay $50 every 2 weeks from my paycheck for medical with a $750 deductible that applies to just certain things. I could have paid $0 if I went for the high deductible, but I'm also not sure if I would have been able to go to providers outside my health system. I live an hour away from my job in another county so I was able to keep my provider who is a part of another health system. If I get labs and I believe other imaging done within the system I work for I pay absolutely nothing. I have my doctor print out the order for labs and get them done at work to avoid paying a fee. I can fill prescriptions at work and I pay what the hospital pays (wholesale) or my copay- whatever is cheaper. I forget what I pay for dental and vision, but it's not much. I think I pay about $6 every 2 weeks for dental and I opted for higher tiered plan that will pay up to 2k a year in dental expenses instead of just 1k (I have bad teeth).

$85 biweekly for single coverage medical, dental, vision, disability and accident
