Calling all nurses! Just a quick poll. Please tell us your:
1.Position held.(RN,LVN/LPN)
2.Years as a nurse.
3.Area of work.(M/S,ER,LTC,etc.)
4.Current hourly wage.
This should be interesting. Thanks.
RN - 8 years
LTC Weekend supervisor (One other RN in the building, 150+ pts)Baylor plan (double weekends - work 32 hours, paid for 40...that's 8 FREE hours/week)
29.50/hr
In addition, a "Thank You" program:
200 points each month of perfect attendance (PER MONTH!!)
200 points for any extra shift picked up
500 points = $100...
AND $35 - $50 per extra shift worked
last pay period (2 weeks): 82 ACTUAL hours worked...$2300 AFTER taxes and insurance (3 "bonus" weekends during pay period)
Sorry, but it was my biggest paycheck EVER for working a normal # of hours!
I'll make $60,000 for 104 days of actual working this year (not including any extra days I MAY work...)
Having Monday thru Friday off trumps any other schedule (4 - Tens; 3 -Twelves; 5 - Eights; 2 Twelves and 2 Eights) all of which I've done...
Only 2 drawbacks to this schedule: Lots of family @ the nursing home on the weekends, and I MISS SUNDAY FOOTBALL!
