Just curious how many practice questions you did on your own time before you took the NCLEX. And how much time elapsed between the time you finished school and took boards? and did you pass? Just curious....

well its hard to count how many I just know its more than 1000. I make sure I read the rationales to them wether I get it wrong or not. That helps to build more knowledge than you had before the question you just answered. I do alot of the quizzes and then some of the 100 test exams. So far Ive done 3 100 of the exams. It is hard to do them all the time. When you know you are good enough alert, do them. You get tired if you arn't. This is my second time takin it and I am doing better at answering the questions and getting more right than wrong. That's what they and you want. I have a better understanding I feel at answering them. You have to read the question, then the answer and then read the question again. Apply the strategies of answering the question like Prioritizing, using the Nsg Diagnosis...and then start eliminating to choose the BEST answer. Think like a nurse and put yourself in that situation the question is asking. Relax and take deep breaths and give it yourall. I hope this helps. After the second test, I let about a few months in between. My upcoming test in a week and a 1/2. My stomach is starting to get quezzy some when I think of it. My friends when they are around for support and it helps when having negative thoughts some. We all go through it. After you take the test its still bad cause of the waiting process. Yikes. I've got to come up with something to not think of the results during that time. Hmm

I completed school in October, and took NCLEX in December. I answered about 1,000 practice questions before taking NCLEX.

I graduated 5/3. I tested yesterday and I did about 1600 questions. I don't have results yet.

I didn't count but I know I really started studying like a week before the test doing lost of kaplan questions maybe about 800 for the 7 question trainers. I was so sick of doing questions that a day before the test I said: THAT'S IT! I cannot take more, so I stoped. I graduated in may 20th, and I took my test today. My computer stoped at 75.

I took as many questions as i could lay my hands on.I did kaplan qestion trainers,Q-bank,saunders 5k questions, mosby and one rayfield or what.I did a lot and a lot and to the glory of God,i passed with 75 questions.Just do lots of questions till you are filled to the brim with knowledge.Know that as you do the questions you have to look up the rationales.
