How Many people did your program start out with?

Published

My program started out with 32 people and now we are down to 20 people, 5 people failed, 2 people had to quit because of personal issues, 2 girls had an arguement and fight, and the other 3 got kicked out for attendance.

Started with 120 graduated 20.[/quote']

Ohhh that's weird and unusual

We started on aug 19 with 30.......hopefully we all will be graduating in June 2014!!

We started on August 19th. We had 48 but only 44 showed up. I hope and pray we all graduate together May2015

Started with 20... Down to 11... Lost some due to attendance, dosage calc, and clinical errors.

We are starting off with 29.

started off with 30, in April. Down to 23

Started yesterday will 22 now we have 20 THAT FAST

My program started in Oct 2011, we started with 33 people. When we graduated Dec 2012, only 22 made it. But we had about 3-4 coming in&out Term 2,3,4 from the previous terms that didn't make it.

Specializes in Neurocritical Care.

Our program last year started with 20 and graduated 9. We just started a couple weeks ago, had 20 registered and 1 never came so we are at 19. Hoping we all make it but the first exam is the 9th so we will see!

Started with 20, 2 dropped in the first quarter because they couldn't keep up, 1 dropped in the 2nd quarter due to being super grossed out in clinicals, no one dropped in 3rd quarter, and now in our final quarter we have only lost one so far due to grades.

Yeah, my program is super lenient. I swore up and down that our one teacher kept avoiding giving us our final grade for pediatrics (her excuse was that she couldn't get the system to work, but it had worked for her before) because there were students who had failed and she had fudged their grades so they could pass. Come to find out, I was right. But those students are still in the program. Some have also made severe clinical errors and are still in the program too. Super annoying because half the class I wouldn't want near me as a nurse. I wish I was in a more strict program in some ways.

Well, that program's reputation must be pretty poor among your community. My professor told us about how one student made an severe error in surgery. She was asked to get a pair of scissors and handed the doctor a pair she grabbed out of the doctor's coat which was used for a tracheostomy. She was immediately dropped from the program. She was about a month from pinning day. That's probably why my school has such a good reputation.

My school was lenient as well in the beginningb and I wouldnt want a lot of people to come near me as a nurse neither.
