I took the NCLEX yesterday morning and I was done in an hour and only got 75 questions. When it shut off, my heart sank and I felt sick. I had no dosage cal. questions(which I'm good at), lots of pharm.(which I suck at), and a ton of priority questions. I hate this waiting and it's only been one day.
I took the NCLEX on Tuesday 6/26. The majority of questions had to with prioritization and delegation, pharmacology and infection control. I did not have any dosage calculations as many have also stated. I was a bit shocked at that. I left my exam wondering how it could have shut off at 75. I wondered if I could have bombed it that bad, because I was only sure of about 4 questions!!! I wanted to scream, "Wait I'm not done yet!!!".After waiting the agonizing 48 hours, I got my results today and passed! I am so excited to start my new job on 7/9. I know I have a lot to learn, but I cannot wait. Good luck to everyone!
Please, can iget your kaplan access info?Congrats,The Lord has done it for you.
Hi, another 75 question person, I took it in just about an hour on Wed. Find out tomorrow.. I am scared, just like everyone else who is waiting. Same scenario though so hopefully the same results! I had 2 all that apply, one med calc with a few conversions in it and a whole lot of who to see first. As soon as I walked out I had no idea, I wanted only 75 questions and then when it stopped I wanted more of an opportunity to prove myself. So...I feel you, those of you who are waiting and those of you who have had to wait. Didn't Tom Petty write a song...:Melody: The waiaiting is the hardest part" :Melody:
Just took my NCLEX today. 75 questions in 1 hour and 20 minutes. Had a little bit of everything. No med calculations. Seemed like a lot of safety and infection control. Many questions on pneumonia and questions of that nature. Many medications. 3 select all that apply. I am glad that is over, not the wait is on. I really feel like I failed. I hope that it is just my nerves.
This waiting game is ridiculous! I can just see all the GI distress & nail-biting all over the country. The computer knows if you passed or not, why is this information not available immediately?
I'm sure I passed based on everyone else's performance. I got 75 questions, mostly priority & meds I'd never heard of & some scattered OB...it was much more difficult than I expected. I don't feel like I bombed it though, so being judged as early as 75 seems like a good thing.
I still don't understand how you can fail it at 75 if you have 190 possible correct answers left. It seems unfair to assume you would not get those right, algorithm or no.
Anyway, I took the test on a yesterday (a Thursday) and today nothing is available via phone or web, so I am guessing that it's going to be a very long weekend of "hellishly intense introspective nightmares" :)
Congrats to those that passed! If you didn't, don't give up! If you don't know yet, I feel ya!
