BSN Program MN! (Minnesota State Mankato!)
Starting the Accelerated BSN program at Wright State University on September 5th!
I'll be done November 17th, 2007 (it's already in my planner)
As I sifted through the 100+ pages I had to read for tommorrow [1st day of class], I realized that I doubt I will have the time to actually analyze and evaluate what I am reading. Our first chapter is on Spirtuality and Friedemann Framework of Systemic Organization...man I wish I had the time to actually think about the reality of what I'm reading.

That's exactly how I felt all summer long (we started in May, start the 2nd semester day after tomorrow!) I ended up just reading the summaries at the end of the chapters and skimming the rest, and of course paying close attention and taking notes in class. Wait and see if you really need to read every word of the chapters, you may not. On the other hand, I had one instructor who tested totally out of the book and not on his lecture, so you never know. After your first round of exams you'll be able to judge better. But remember, you wouldn't have gotten into the program if they didn't think you could handle it! You will retain alot more than you think you will! Good luck everyone!

Well I could definitely read all of the chapters if we didn't have to complete 2-4 modules a day with Evolve: Skills Online...although the online information is concise and well-presented. It might be hard to pick between the two.
Any other stories from accelerated students?
I graduated this year from an accelerated program, so I know what you are all going through. My first semester of studying was insane! I used to read EVERY assignment (several 100s of pages each week), then take notes from the book and study class notes. This was a system that worked with my first degree, but clearly would not work in an accelerated program. I soon figured out what I needed to read and what I could skip over. I also figured out that most of my instructors tested from their lectures. You will figure each class out as you go along. Work hard, but work smart. Good luck!
I just started my LAST semester of my Accelerated BSN prgram (no prior degree required)
