It has been 4 years since I started my prerequisites. I've been going non stop and haven't missed a semester.
I only had high school prerequisites but I decided to take university-transferrable credits prior to applying to nursing, to have a better chance of getting accepted and to lighten up my course load once I was. It took about 3 years and I wish I took all the health sciences before applying instead of mostly Arts courses.
2 semesters, I took accelerated A&P in the first (with other classes) and then chem and micro (with other classes) in the second. I CLEPed my English and I maxed out mathematics placement so didn't have to do that. In three semesters (fall-summer) I've managed to take all pre-reqs, all nursing school co-reqs, and a computer concepts class (mostly MS Office training). All I will have to do during nursing school is the actual NUR classes. I have two very extracurricularly active kids so getting my nursing school load to the bare minimum was absolutely necessary. Let's hope it pays off!

For me? I did anatomy I, English I, English II, anatomy II, psych, developmental psych, all in a year. My math transferred in from when I was a university student during high school. I did my micro later during the program because I put it off a dozen times.
