The employment shortage for new grad nurses is a big scare on most threads on here. In most cases though I see that the longest time it took someone to find a job as a new grad was about 1 year. Please share your experiences on how long did it take you to find a job as a new grad, in which state and how did you land your job. Feel free to include other details.
From what I am seeing here it takes from 3-6 months in average to find a job even though the first job for most people is not their dream job.
I think this data even tough limited shows that even though the job market sucks the way it does, it is still possible to find a job if one is dedicated.

I think the circumstances under which someone is hired is relevant (such as past experience) as well as the type of nursing job and location; those all really influence the hire date. That's why i was asking, but if you only want a number of months, sorry, didn't mean to bog down the page.
