How long before i get my RN license?

I just discovered that i pass my NCLEX-RN exam this week through the quick result and i don't know what to do next.Should i follow it up to the BON where i applied or should i just wait?Are they going to mail me the results together with my license?What does a RN license looks like anyway.Is it the same with the Philippine RN license or a driver's license or just a certification?

You should get it in abut two weeks. The license itself is attached to a larger piece of paper.

We are going paperless in NC, so I would contact my BON to see if you can go ahead and access it via the internet or if you need to wait for a paper license.

I live in Delaware and took my NCLEX-PN on a Friday, found out I passed on Monday morning and then within a week or so I had my License and Nurse Practice Act in the mail.

My license came with the information from the BON. It used to be paper, now it's like a credit card. You do not need to contact them, that will only piss them off. They will mail the stuff to you.

I passed on Tuesday, had my temp. license on Fri and the perm. one (credit card like) the following week.

Well, in NC they do send you a instruction sheet on how to verify RN status, but you don't get any kind of license, paper or credit card type. What state are you in? You can probably just go to the BON website to see what they do.

In Texas you can verify online before the paper one is mailed out, but usually it only is a few days difference. We are required to carry our license so there is a BIG one, suitable for framing I guess, and a credit-card sized one for the wallet.

hi,

i am in the same boat as original poster. passed the nclex, now what?

i am in New Jersey.

Before i contact the B.o.N. i was wondering how long it would take to get my license?
