How long is your commute?

Published

Call me crazy, but I am considering commuting to my next nursing job! (Still in school here, so I am just day dreaming) I live in NorthWest Florida where nursing jobs are a rare find, not to mention the low pay for Florida nurses. I actually commute now to Houston TX every other week for my flight attendant job. I am thinking about applying to some Level I and II hospitals out there, as a PRN, because I do have the benefits of stand by flying. I hope to work a day, two or three there and fly home. I do not want to move out of my paradise home..! :redbeathe

well, now its 15 minutes, but before i moved, i commuted 1 hour and 45 minutes one way, and that was pushing the speed limit....

Specializes in Operating Room.

30-35 minutes driving, an hour by bus( when the ol' car is out of commission).

Specializes in OR; Telemetry; PACU.

45min. going with the "flow of traffic". ;) Free parking and just a few steps from the door. :D

15 minutes if I obey all traffic laws, 11 if I don't -- or if I hit the traffic lights exactly right. About three minutes from the car to the time clock and free parking. The commute is one of the big reasons I am staying put for now. We used to live in Atlanta and I drove in that horrible I-85 traffic 45 minutes each way, and that was if there were no wrecks, etc. Never again.

10 minutes and free parking only steps away from the door.

80 miles, about an hour to and from = 500.00 a month in gas. I have done this for 6 months and through one of our worst winters ever. I have finally found a job 10 minutes door to door. I hope to never have to commute again!!!

45-60 minutes depending on traffic. Parking $105 per month. 10 minute walk from parkade to the clinic --IF the elevators are working.

I travel 500 miles, by foot, in 20 feet of snow, uphill there and back, while man eating alligators attack me.
