CGFNS has improved the services by ten folds. Nowadays, you don't have to wait for 20 mins to get them on the phone. They answer your e-mails right away. Looks like they have hired more polite and professional representatives (before, they used to be very rude and disrespectful) who try their best to get the answer for you.
However, don't be surprised if you see your status of all the documents as "meets all program requirement", and you check after a week to see if they mailed the report, and find out the status has changed to "received but not accepted". It happened to me, not once, not twice....many times.
Since 2002, I have applied for every single one of the CGFNS services. None was completed without any hassle. I am so glad that CGFNS finally...oh yes finally....mailed my CES report yesterday. I am relieved that there is no more CGFNS service left for me. I hope I will never have to frown when I see the letters CGFNS again.
hello! what is the average period of validity for CES before it expires?thanks so much....
It does not have an expiration date on it per se, but when additional trainings or schoolings are undertaken, they will need to be included, therefore a new CES will need to be done. One is unable to just update an existing one.
Yes, I assumed that a RN/Pass NCLEX would be needed for her education path.I have discovered this interesting option:

Do you or Suzanne know if this is a real degree?
Thanks in Advance
It should not even be considered as an option for her at this time, she needs to get to the US and get actual work experience as an RN and get comfortable with working and living here first before even considering going on with her training.
She will also need to decide what she wishes to do as an RN, there are too many variables thrown in and this is not the time to even be looking at programs like this.
Let her get over here and adjust to her new life as well as being married first, and then things can be done.
6-8 weeks? that is after all requirements are sent in right? what i did was i sent the forms for my school in the philippines and for the licensing agency and waited until they were ready and had them sent to cgfns before i signed up for the credentialling service. is that ok? providing i paid for the service before the said forms could get to the agency right?

Do not apply for VSC until you have passed NCLEX. When you register for VSC the application is valid for 12 months and if you have any delays and run out of time you have to pay again. Better to wait. If you want to work in Illinois you have to complete application and requirements for foreign trained nurse for Illinois. Illinois BON
