Guys alot of emotions are going through my head right now, I am so broke and thinking to change my date for tomorrow, but in my self I don't know if am ready, I don't know if I have studied all the areas needed for nclex, I just can't take the brokeness anymore. Please share how you know when you are truely ready cause am freaking out here right now, just want to get it over with, also did Nclex touch the areas that you really studied, thanks a bunch.:monkeydance:
You cannot never finish preparing and studying for the NCLEX RN test. All you need is self confidence. Go for it as scheduled and don't be afraid. Never forget your test taking skills, remember your ABC's, how to prioritize and patient safety. Also go with your instinct and don't change your answers unless your are certain of your decision.
I wish you good Luck!!!
I take my exam on the 27th and I almost wish it was sooner. I am tired of doing questions (I've done 600 in the last 3 days) and I feel like something has clicked in my brain that is telling me"you are ready." A week ago I was in a complete state of panic. I am tired of this roller coaster of emotions!! I think this test is 75% mental. It's a test of how you will handle stressful nursing situations in the future and your ability to still pick out key details during that stressful time. I am convinced of this!
anyone know of any free nclex predictors online? i too cannot deal with the brokeness and i am ready to just go take it and call it a day. i as strong in anything medsurg or even theraputic communication, mental health. but i havent looked at ob or peds in like 2 yrs hahah--and i havent really studied yet..i think ill wait a bit more and study first!
It's very hard to be 100% sure to know if you are ready. As for me, I picked a date approx. a month and half later. Within that time I was focused and when the day came, I just took the test. That very morning riding the train to take the test, I felt unready. All of my friends, said the same thing... u just never know. But one of my friend did not set up her date, saying that when she is ready she will go ahead and do it. Guess what? she never ever felt ready, she had to take it a week before the deadline. We all passed though.
I truly believe if you set a date, you will do everything you can to prepare yourself before that day comes, knowing WHEN helps you prepare, but if you do not set up your date, you always feel like , you have time to study, to do more, to prepare more......just do the best you can, set up a date giving your self enough time and take the test and become RN!!
You know what i just passed my nclex exam on august 6th. my computer shut off after 75 questions. I had originally scheduled my exam in lat june after my kaplan review but kept changing the date almost every week up until the first week of august. After that I was like man I will never really be surely be ready for this exam. If you keep doubting yourself you may never take it. You have to remeber study until you can't anymore. do not listen to people when they say you have to do this amount of questions to pass.I do not "Sbelieve that . I was an average student in nursing school A's, B's and C's. I did only around 1500 -2000 questions. I did 75 questions one day and did 100 on other days. I depended on how I felt. But I think in my case I spent a lot of time on content. To me if you do not know the patho on the disease how can you answer the question. so content was kinda more important than questions. Anyway, good luck and ace that TESt!!!!:wink2:
No one ever knows! I test on Monday....after studying since June, I still don't feel ready. However, I have to have confidence and speak it into my destiny that I can do this and I will pass on the first try. Today I did a 250-question practice test and got 189 right....which is a 76%. Not where I wanna be, but I am proud of myself. Tomorrow is my last study day....I have so much support, and even though I am not ready, I know I gotta do this!
