i found this website very helpful;http://wps.prenhall.com/chet_kozier_...ent/index.html. i'm wondring if it's not a mistake to use companiom website, that is deferente from the book we are using in class.
i know that i need to get used to nclex style questions, but i don't have any clue which book or website is a good one for fundamentals of nursing.

Thanks for posting that link. I just did some of the practice questions and I like how it is set up. :)

Test Success for Fundamentals: the chapter titles went along with the titles in our potter and perry book (not the same order, but the chapter titles are what you need to go by), and it gives you why a certain answer is right and why the other three are wrong. Review and rationales for fundamentals is a good resource too.

any supplemental text that will help you learn the information and turn the light bulbs of understanding in your brain on is ok. when i was in nursing school i had a 10 year old copy of a different nursing textbook that i looked stuff up in all the time to help explain things that our textbook didn't quite do as well. our instructors encouraged this. if you find other information from nclex questions that seem different and you can't resolve, take it to your instructors and challenge them to explain it. that's what they are there for. discussions with your instructors and others about these discrepancies will help cement the information into your brain and keep you looking for the answers to the "why"s. this is how you will learn to be a critical thinker. i am giving you several sites where you can find free nclex style questions every week as well as weblinks to complete online nursing courses where you can find fundamental nursing information. go to the sites every monday, copy and paste the question to a file or notebook that you save them in along with the rationales they give you for the answers so you accumulate a nice collection of them. you can never know too much. never stop asking why or looking for answers.
