How far are you traveling to school?

I am curious as to how many miles every one goes to school one way.

I live one mile away from campus :) granted, i picked that apartment because of its location. I wanted to be able to walk if I ever had car problems, but I haven't walked it yet. Parking on campus is a pain in the butt because the physic's majors all take them early in the morning :) Bad physics majors ;)

What is the deal with all the physics classes being at 7:30 in the morning, anyway? :p

I travel all of 1.5 miles to school. We've lived in our house for almost six years -- it just happened that my school is very close to us.

I only live across town from my school. About a 15 minute drive, 20 on a bad day. We bought this house before I even started back to school... lucky deal, huh?:)

Julie:)

my route to school usually takes about 8 - 10 minutes from home. however, when i start clinicals, i will be traveling about 20 minutes to the hospital(s).

It takes me about an hour to get to school unless it's raining or there's an accident on the beltway. Crazy, isn't it? But I carpool most days and at least have company.

I think I'm about 8 miles from school. We can beat those pesky physics students though because class for us starts at 7a.m. on non-clinical days!!!!

For now, I only live about 5 miles from the campus where I am taking pre-req's. When I start the nursing classes next Fall, I'll be at a campus that is about 30 miles away, probably be an hour drive in traffic. We may move to be closer though, since both my hubby and I will be attending the nursing program there.

On a good day it takes me 25 minutes to get to school. On a bad day it takes about 45min in the rain and an hour in the snow. My school is about 10 miles one way from my house. My clinical site for now is about 20 miles one way from my house but yet it takes the same amount of time for me to get to clinicals like it does school due to the rush hour has not even started at 615am when I first get on the highway for clinicals.

Shy Violet I think it is cool you and your hubby gets to go to the same program. There is a mother/daughter-in-law who are in the program together.

I would LOVE to live closer to campus... have to leave at 6:45 for my 8:00 class.... and still pray that I make it in time to stop for a cup of coffee... jeeze, I love expressway traffic in the morning!

I only live about 20 minutes away from campus, so that's not a bad drive...it's going to my clinical sites that usually sucks. Most of my sites have been in St. Louis MO, and I live across the river in Illinois. The traffic going across the bridge into MO is awful in the morning. I mean awful! What should be about a 20-25 minute drive (without the traffic) takes about an hour at that time of the morning (or more on really bad days). For my community/public health clinicals this semester I even have some sites that are 1.5 - 2 hour. I've been putting lots and lots of miles on the car.

40 miles, one hour drive
