Hey I'm new to this site, and was just curious how Nova's nursing program is. I just got accepted into the Fall 2010 nursing program at the main campus in Davie. Any advice on how it is? Did you feel prepared when you took your NCLEX after completing the 27 month program? Would love to hear from anybody. I'm so excited and cant wait to start in august! :)
jani,
:ancong!:
there is a lot of information that you can begin reading through the nova website http://www.nova.edu/cwis/hpdasa/orientation/entrylevel/index.html although it states fall a lot of that same info will apply to our winter class. they should be updating the website for winter soon. as well here is our uniform provider http://www.nsuuniformstore.com/default.asp as well you can go to the ua stores and order them through them they are a bit cheaper, many students have. now the coat you must order through here http://www.webmedbooks.com/nova/default2.aspx because of the specific patch they place on it. these websites are very information if you have any questions or doubts after going through this material don’t hesitate to post a question we are all always willing to help = )

I recently applied to the Fall2011 term! They told me they took applications first come, first served as well as your GPA. I am currently in broward college and have a 3.8 GPA, all I need is micro. which I am taking this winter! Reading these threads has gave me EVEN MORE motive to think positive until the end of May :smackingf which is when we find out and May seems like forever and a half from now til then, lol!
Good luck & Congrats to all you guys who got accepted for Fall2010 and for those who are soon to find out if they got accepted into Winter2011 )

hey guys,
i have some info you might find useful
so when you log into your sharklink account under the student tab if you click on course information under the records and academics section. then follow these steps you can view our course offerings for winter 2011.
1. search by term = winter 2011 then click submit
2. under subject pick the prefix of the course (example phs4904; prefix=phs)
3. under course title pick the course # (example phs4904; course #=4904)
4. click on search
5. there you should see the class offerings and times (all campus will show up so make sure to read the levels and locations)
repeat these steps for phs4904, nur3000, nur3005 & nur3160 ß these are the courses for our first semester
it looks like at the davie campus we will have fridays off
for certain schedules that they pick for us. (well at least free from classes but i am sure there's other things we have to get done like study and community service
so far only the main campus has times for the first set of classes all other campuses haven't posted up times and dates.
hope this helps a little i am sure if you guys keep following up the times for all options will soon open up; since today was the deadline for winter application they will begin finalizing everything soon. as per our adviser a.o their first meeting in reference to the orientation page update was on 9/28/2010, so we should soon be receiving a lot more concrete information in reference to our class. = )
guys if you ever have any questions do not hesitate to email me if i have an answer i do not mind sharing the answers.
the above at least gives us a small outlook as to what our schedules will look like and as far as for the davie campus it's not looking to bad.
