Plenty of threads with information. You need to decide on province then apply to province, once assessed they will state whether you need to do a bridge program or can sit CRNE. Suggest a read on here plus use the search facility

alright thanks. but how i do move this to internation forum? im a newbie here.. sorry

thanks silverdragon. can i apply this on my own and not go thru agency? should i go directly to canadian embassy to look and apply in a particular province?

We have moved it to the international forum

Yes you can do it without using an agency. You need to decide which province you want to live, then apply to that province and wait for decision. Once you know where you stand with the province if they give the go ahead then apply to hospitals in the area you want to work and they will assist you with the process. They will need to get a LMO for you but application forms can be found on the Canadian embassy website in your country plus fees. The forms are easy to complete and if you are taking family with you may need work permits for them and student permits for any children, that does vary from the different provinces but if taking spouse and they want to work they have to get work permit in their name but can include fee and application form with yours.

ok, thanks a lot silverdragon.. Will go to Canadian embassy asap to check for requirements.

I read on this site that even though someone had passed the crne and was accepted my the bc nursing board they still couldnt get a job. I was wondering how true that is? Am a uk trained nurse considering moving to BC but if i wont be able to get a job is there any point in even starting the process?

It is not a point of going to the Canadian Embassy, you need to start with the licensing process from the province that you wish to work in and meet their requirements. The Canadian Embassy does not handle anything with that, only the licensing boards do.

Depends on your training and experience. Not sure when you graduated, but all of the Boards in Canada require that you have hours in all of the required subjects, just like the US.

Experience always wins in terms of getting a job.

Best of luck to you.

is CRNE = licensing process? I visited the canadian embassy website and did not find anything there regarding licensing.

CRNE is licensing and you need to go to the state province for that. You need to go to the immigration website for information regarding work permit and forms. License is one and immigration the other
