Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

Has anyone heard back from MH after completing the behavioral assessment and nurse residency questionnaire? I didn't receive an email stating it was received so just curious. Thank you

I completed everything as well, and I didn’t get an email saying it was received either!

For Memorial Hermann, do you have to put everything into one document or do you submit them all as separate documents (questionnaire, resume, references)?

I submitted them separately. I think either way should be fine.

We should find out if we were selected for match day interview by March 24th and match day will be held on March 25th and 26th.

Thank you so much. I wonder if different locations do things differently. I didn’t receive the questionnaire. I don’t know if that means I’m a no?

Just wanted to understand the process that everyone is in at the moment. So, when yal are talking about Memorial Hermann is that for the Texas Medical Center location. or have other locations also sent out questionnaires and emails about further info?

I got the questionnaire for MH Children’s.

For MH northeast, I only got the behavioral assessment, not the questionnaire.
