Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.
I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

See the thing is you’re going to get different reviews with anyone you ask because everyone’s experience is different and there’s so many units. St. Luke’s has been in the news about some things you can look that up , but I personally know people who love being there!
All HCA hospitals are good. Some are older than others, but that doesn’t change anything ! For example everyone likes a certain HCA hospital location i won’t name, but I’ve heard nurses at Ben Taub talking about how they hated working there. It can be different by anyone. The facilities I’ve seen are clean and I know a lot of great nurses who work in them.
Ben Taub and LBJ are County. Your population will be different. You will have a lot of Spanish speakers and lower income residents. I loved my clinicals there and saw a lot of teamwork. They’re both nice from what I’ve seen.
Memorial Hermann is good also. Their facilities are nice and they really take care of their patients. I personally worked there once at the TMC location and did not have a good experience.... but others have so again we’re all different.
I’d say they’re all good ! Be careful with online reviews because anyone can say anything.......
