Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

Anyone get invited to TCH’s optional Open House this coming Tuesday?

Yes. It’s optional, by invitation only and I have a friend who can’t attend due to clinicals and was told that they would still get an opportunity to interview if they were unable to attend.

I interviewed with Greater Heights last Tuesday, March 26. They told me it would be several days. I followed up with thank you emails and the recruiter told me I should hear by Monday or Tuesday. Meanwhile it's Thursday and I'm going insane! My app status still says "in interview process"

I had an interview at MH Greater Heights on match day. Still waiting for them to get back to me though! They said it would be Monday or Tuesday this week. Have you heard anything?

Hello, I emailed the recruiter yesterday and she said it would be towards the end of the week. Hope we all hear something tomorrow!
