Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

Is it 10 calendar or business days for notification for HCA? Did anyone ask that question?

I’ve heard NICU offers but that’s it.

Not that I’ve seen anywhere. I would think it’s 10 business days. Someone in the cohort ahead of mine got an offer for Women’s super late in the game so it’s not over if you don’t get an offer during this intial time period

Would u say if i haven’t received anything from MH - SE/Pearland by now, I would probably not being offered unless someone reject their offers?

No not post surgical ! Just OR and NICU. Also no mother baby

Per my recruiter, Mother Baby at Women's only had two openings and they've been offered. Unsure if they've accepted.
