Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

Has anyone heard back about match day for MH Pearland? I originally applied for Memorial City, and the recruiter there told me that the only locations accepting ADNs for the unit(s) I applied for were Pearland and Southeast. After I finished the behavioral assessment and questionnaire she said she would send it to the appropriate recruiter. But I haven't heard anything since! I have tried to ask the recruiter for contact information for Pearland but haven't received any response for that either.

I applied for PICU and CVICU.

Hermann called me today for an interview. I didn't think I was gonna get an interview since the email said they would be in touch by the 24th.

Just heard from St. Luke's about their interviews on 4/9! They sent a link to sign up for a time slot.

I emailed the recruiter and she said that they haven’t started contacting people yet!
