Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

I put down cardiac, Neuro, and med Surg for my top 3!

@ecs96 I got the email too! Any idea what location we are interviewing for? Or do you think it is just general for all St. Luke's? I was a little confused!

My current application for St.Lukes still says in process. For those who have heard from St.Lukes was there an email or something that they sent in regards to top choices for units?

I couldn’t tell either - it seems that we will be doing a few short panel interviews? I didn’t see anything mentioning a particular unit on what I got too!

They sent an email a few weeks ago asking a few questions and a paper to fill out asking about location and unit preference

Sorry I misread what you said when I made my first reply! I checked the box on my preference sheet saying I only wanted to interview for the TMC location, so I'm assuming mine is for that!
