Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

did anyone get a second interview with houston methodist?

They haven’t contacted people about matching yet, but Match Day is on the 25th&26th.

My application status still says received.

I completed a 2nd interview today for Baytown Methodist. Received feedback I should hear something by the end of this week.

I also applied to MH SE and St Luke’s Woodlands but haven’t heard back from either except for completing the behavioral assessment for MH.

ICU is the only unit I interviewed for

St Luke’s emailed to say that they received all my documents and invites to interview day that’s on April 9th would go out by March 25th and MH application says under review and the recruiter said she was going to try send invitations to match day by the 15th.
