Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2022

Hey everyone! I saw that there was a residency thread for Spring but not for Summer 2022. I graduate in March 2022 and I believe a lot of the Summer cohorts begin in June/July. I plan to move to Houston once I've written my NCLEX! Where is everyone considering applying? I am looking at Houston Methodist, Memorial Hermann, MD Anderson Cancer Center and St Lukes. I would also prefer to be at hospitals specifically in the sugar land area so I hope when the time comes theyll have the units I want in certain locations. I would like to be in the PACU! Is there anyone else that wants to work in the PACU as well?

Hi everyone! I am applying everywhere. I heard back from TCH right away, the same day, but it was from like HR or recruiter. I am meeting with him tomorrow. I applied Feb 9 and he texted me about setting up an appointment but I could not do it til tomorrow bc of clinicals and stuff. I'll let you know how it goes!

HCA - I applied to HCA West and they are having a whole bunch of interviews Feb 22

MH - They have 3 interview questions on their application! I was not expecting that. Most hospitals just asked for a resume or resume/transcripts. I wanted to apply asap but just finished perfecting my answers to the 3 questions. They have a limit on attachments to 5MB...but I am going to see if it will make a different if I merge all my Letter of Recommendations in one pdf form...anyone know if that'll work or will it still be too big? If it's too big then I can only pick 4 LOR

Has anyone heard back yet from Houston Methodist?

Memorial Hermann had just reviewed my application and sent me to do a behavioral assessment but that it is all.

Did anyone apply to MD Anderson's pediatric clinical nurse residency and hear anything? It's been a while since that application closed.

I applied this Wednesday and got the assessment yesterday. I applied to memorial and sugar land

I applied to Children’s memorial on the 13th and got the assessment on the 15th. You will get an assessment so don’t worry.
