Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2022

Hey everyone! I saw that there was a residency thread for Spring but not for Summer 2022. I graduate in March 2022 and I believe a lot of the Summer cohorts begin in June/July. I plan to move to Houston once I've written my NCLEX! Where is everyone considering applying? I am looking at Houston Methodist, Memorial Hermann, MD Anderson Cancer Center and St Lukes. I would also prefer to be at hospitals specifically in the sugar land area so I hope when the time comes theyll have the units I want in certain locations. I would like to be in the PACU! Is there anyone else that wants to work in the PACU as well?

Does anyone know if memorial Hermann TMC pays a geographical differential similar to st Luke’s?

Yes they do I believe its $4 for TMC

It Is free at their slightly offsite parking lot for Houston Methodist(and Texas Childrens I believe). They offer shuttles for free or you can use metro rail. If you park in one of the garages during the week I believe it was $10-15, but it was free with your badge for weekends. Also think it might have been free for night shift to park in garages

Has anyone heard from MH TMC? I got an email about Match Day but seems only for ICU, but I did not even put ICU as my interest in my application. I quickly replied to the email and text they sent me but no reply. :/ I'm not interested in ICU so I won't schedule the interview time slot they sent me. Is that how you all have scheduled your interview w TMC, with your specialty?

I received an interview notification as well, but I also received one for a unit that I did not apply to.

I didn’t get an email about match day but did get an email about setting up an interview for units that I did not pick. Not for TMC though. But I haven’t heard back ever since that email.
