Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

I graduated in December 

Didn’t pass the NCLEX the first time because I took it a week after I graduated which I don’t recommend so I lost a job offer. But I just passed in February and job hunting is hard because everything in Houston competitive or the residency program application is closed. 
 

I got tired looking for nurse residency programs because it seems like it’s going no where and I’m ready to start working. 
 

I applied for the memorial city location

Congrats on passing your NCLEX! But I totally agree, it’s definitely competitive here in Houston. Guess we all just have to wait our turn ? Best of luck on your interview!

I am getting a tad restless after my interview two days ago for Memorial Herman.  They said possibly by the end of the week(today) or early Monday. I am trying to study for my classes but this is lingering in the back of my mind ???

Has anyone gotten a call from TCH to set up an interview yet? I could’ve sworn they said by the end of the week we should hear something

Are you waiting to hear back from the main campus? Because me too!

Yea I had mine on Tuesday and they said 48 hours and they'll send their picks to HR to contact us on if we got the job or not. I really hope they don't make us wait the whole weekend ?

I had mine on Tuesday too. They said by next week.  ????

Anyone know if HM TMC is still conducting interviews? Or if today is the last day?
