Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

Someone from TCH called and asked what are the top two units that I’m interested in, what my GPA was, and what grade I got in pediatrics. Just letting y’all know to be prepared ?

wait.... when did you apply? didn't applications just close yesterday at 5pm?

When did they call you? And what are your top units? LOL are they hiring in all units?

They oddly called me at 7:30. Pretty sure it was just a recruiter not a floor nurse or anything. I said ER and general peds. I asked what units they are hiring for and she said it just depends on what each unit needs...LOL like she didn’t give me a list or anything

I sumbitted my application on March 8th and emailed the supplement info on March 12th

I did, but as my second choice! I haven't heard anything yet either from my 1st or 2nd choices

They called me at 8pm too, super weird.. Do you think they're calling everyone who applied? That's a lot of phone calls LOL

I have no idea LOL I initially didn’t answer because I didn’t think anybody would be calling me this late but luckily listened to the voicemail. We’ll see what happens

I have my acute care pre screen for HM tomorrow and I got an email confirming my 11:30 time slot but then I got a zoom link saying it’s at 9 am.. what do I do?? Has this happened to anyone else?

I received a phone call around 1! I applied on 3/11 and send my email on 3/11 as well!

I’m so stressed TCH didn’t call me...I applied 3/8 and sent documents 3/10??
