Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

So by looking at everyone’s comments... Houston Methodist, Harris Health, and Memorial Hermann have completed the pre-screening process?? So should I just assume I didn’t get a chance? I have a 3.7 GPA, dean’s scholarship at TCU, 3 years home health experience, BSN graduate of 21 with Latin Honors, and 3 letters of recommendation.... what am I missing?

Memorial Hermann is sending out emails this week for interviews. So don’t get discouraged there. Some Methodist locations are still sending out pre-screen email I think...

Thank you for the uplifting words. However, I have not gotten a pre-screen email or any notification from the hospitals I listed ?.

Did you get the behavioral assessment from MH? And what locations did you apply to for Methodist?

Have not heard anything from SugarLand or Katy.... not even pre-screening...

So sorry:( I know it seems stupid to say and I know it won’t help you feel better, but with your GPA and honors and experience, I’m sure you will find your place. Keep us updated if you hear from anyone

At MH heights what unit did you apply to? They’re sending out invites up until the 19th so I wouldn’t rule them out
