I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

Anyone for HCA staRN for ICU (mainly Tomball campus) residency program starting June 28?

Hey, has anyone attended the HCA staRN hiring event today? I was just curious  if anyone was actually offered an offer on the spot? I’ve an interview pending with a HCA location early May.

For those of you who got hired at Methodist TMC, is it true that you have to be vaccinated for COVID to work?

Wow! Congratulations!! Can I ask if you had experience working in the ER? Or any tips on getting a position like that?

Yes! I've been a nurse tech in the ER at a level 1 trauma center for almost 2 years now. If I had to guess that's the main reason I got the job. All my other qualifications were pretty basic - 3.2 GPA, 2 letters of recommendation from my clinical instructors, etc. I did a lotttt of interview practice questions too
