Hello everyone,

I have started a thread for anyone who will be applying for Houston Community College ADN Spring 2016. Please add any questions and or comments and hopefully we will be able to exchange information here and keep ourselves positive on our journey to get accepted into the nursing program. I can't wait to hear from everyone! I haven't taken my HESI A2 exam so any pointers would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I used 77075. I booked it on Friday as soon as I received the email.

Why don't you call the identogo and have them book it for you

When you go for the fingerpriting, some of the locations don't take credit cards or cash, you have to have a check or money order.

If you go to the AHA website, you can find classes in your area and those that fit your schedule. Make sure that you sign up for the BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR Class, because there are other CPR Classes not meant for Healthcare Providers.

No, I was not. Were you? If, so which zip code did you use? I am very desperate as you can tell. The soonest I could find was October 28th and I contacted Catherine Dumond and she said that she believes some do walk-ins and I tried today and they turned me away. Help.

So after we do the fingerprinting, does the Nursing Student card update automatically?

No, it has to process and be sent to the Texas board of nursing. They will send you a blue card in the mail when the background check and your fingerprint check through the BON clears. It looks like a little post card. Then you will have to upload it to certified profile.

So after we do the fingerprinting, does the Nursing Student card update automatically?

You have to do your fingerprinting ASAP because sometimes it could take up to more than 2 weeks to receive your blue card!! Deadline to have everything uploaded to certified profile is November 15.
