Hello everyone,

I have started a thread for anyone who will be applying for Houston Community College ADN Spring 2016. Please add any questions and or comments and hopefully we will be able to exchange information here and keep ourselves positive on our journey to get accepted into the nursing program. I can't wait to hear from everyone! I haven't taken my HESI A2 exam so any pointers would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Thanks... How much is it and roughly how long did it take for you to receive yours?

Around $40... I actually received mine in 8 days which I was shocked because I kept reading on this blog that it took some people longer to receive theirs.

Found an appt in Victoria for Monday. It's an hr away but desperate times calls for desperate measures. Lol

Oh no judgement here. If I wouldn't have gotten an appointment in Houston I would of gone out of the city as well.

It was actually 2hrs away í ½í¸©í ½í¸©, but I'm glad it's done. Now I just hope it comes back in time!

Did anybody else get an acceptance letter yesterday saying there was additional slots available? Just want to see if there were people like me in the same boat. I'm a little hesitant about it right now!

I received an email as well stating there are available spots. But I am not going to accept, I don't want to risk the same thing happening as last semester. Good luck to all of you :)

They probably have additional spots due to the fact that some have declined and accepted other offers. I would accept and if another school comes along you can always decline HCC.

I'll keep that in mind and maybe use HCC as a back up. I have been fully accepted to Chamberlain for the spring 2016 semester so I think I am just going to go that route.

I received the letter stating of additional spots opening, as well, and started the CertifiedProfile checklist. I've received additional emails from Catherine Dumond letting me know my name has been submitted to the Texas Board of Nursing for processing. I guess this means it's legit?
