Houston Community College ADN Spring 2016 Applicants

Published

Hello everyone,

I have started a thread for anyone who will be applying for Houston Community College ADN Spring 2016. Please add any questions and or comments and hopefully we will be able to exchange information here and keep ourselves positive on our journey to get accepted into the nursing program. I can't wait to hear from everyone! I haven't taken my HESI A2 exam so any pointers would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

So apparently they mailed it to my old address, which I'm not even sure how they got that. So they just sent out another, I guess I should have by next week.

UPDATE My mom had it in her car this entire time!!!!! :Hellboy: I could scream! Thank God they gave us an extension!!!

Oh my goodness. What a relief!!!!

Could someone post their Hepatitis B surface antibody titer positive lab report. I will be extremely grateful and thankful whoever show that report. Please sent me text 4127285459.

Hello all. I did my LVN at HCC, that program was a disaster, but not too bad as I'm wanting to go back in Fall of 2017 to do my LVN to ADN, since I still need some prereqs. Plus I did most of my prereqs at HCC and I'm used to them. I'm hoping that all of you will do great so that there still will be an ADN program by the time I apply. Good luck!

I've heard bad stories about all LVN programs.

Did you have bad instructors?

There were some bad instructors where you had to learn on your own, but having a study group helps. Tests were hard so you need to have good study habits. I figure since I made it through the LVN program, the ADN program can't be much worse.

I had a friend telling me about this she just graduated from Chamberlain and she had horrible instructors that it was practically learning on our own.

I am sure you will do great. It's all up to the student.

Who's excited about orientation here in a few weeks :)?

Me- time is just flying!

Hello everyone...I too was accepted into the ADN program for Spring 2016...has everyone been able to get everything uploaded and completed in certified profile...for some reason the measles portion of my mmr titer came back negative therefore I had to get a booster shot and will need to re-titer... Has anyone ran into this problem and if so how long after the booster were you able to get a positive titer

I would call and ask nursing department since deadline is approaching.

I'm just asking for personal experiences
