Just wanted to know if anyone is applying this April to get in for fall 2015 ADN program at HCC?
Also, I have completed all of the required prerequisites and I am taking all of the recommended classes this Spring. Do I still have a chance of getting accepted even though the recommended classes are still in progress?
I plan on registering for the HESI as soon as HCC updates the test dates and I am hoping to get a date in February.
I still haven't received any email . HCC is VERY UNORGANIZED!!!!!😡I completed all required courses, completed background check, physical examinations including immunizations and haven't received an email . Congrats to those who were " officially accepted " . I met several people who haven't taken Pharmacology, completed their require courses and physical examination and were accepted . ...... Very Unorganized!!!
Ok... just to let everyone know that the school is changing their degree plan. They sometimes loose student email a dresses so please keep that in mind. Signing up for classes will be a bloody battle and be prepared for your schedule to change by time, day, or/ teacher. DO NOT WORK DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF CLASSES!!!! They will do hospital orientations on that week sometimes only giving 24 hours notice. There are a lot I can talk about with this school. But I do have to say one thing.... study your but off and hang on for the ride. I have passed all of my classes but not everyone was so lucky. I'm on my second year and this is a very hard class I'm already hitting the books. Good luck!!!
Hey future nursing friends, look in your junk/spam folder for an email from Catherine Dumond to see if you've been accepted. I just found my acceptance email dated on the 13 of August in my junk folder. Also, try looking on your HCC email to see if they sent you one there as well.
Christaglo, I hope your comment is not true. I got an e-mail at 6PM today saying I wasn't accepted because either I did not meet the clinical requirements or there wasn't enough seats. I finished all my requirements besides my mumps titer which I submitted on the 10th and the influenza. I sent an e-mail back to Catherine talking about the lady who hosted the 8/5 orientation said we had till early next week to submit everything. Does anybody else remember this? Because if that is the case, the staff is providing false information.
Were you on the waiting list? If not, then there is definitely something fishy going on here. You should e-mail them and voice out your concerns. I'm going to call Catherine tomorrow as well.
No clinical space is why I wasn't accepted and many others were not accepted!!! Go speak with Rosa Nguyen and Kate Dumond for further information I personally went up there and they told me everything! There was just no clinical space which is why many got wait listed and many got accepted but also wait listed. I was clearly shocked but I re activated my app for spring

I got mine yesterday from someone named Catherine. It said I was accepted since I met all the clinical requirements.
