Hiring Process at Valley Medical San Jose anyone?

Hi, I am a recent graduate and was interviewed for the Critical Care Program at Santa Clara Valley Medical, San Jose. It has been more than 3 weeks since the interview but have not heard from anyone. My interview went well and they even called my references. Is that a good sign, should I be excited? I am very nervous and wondering does Valley Medical have a standard policy to call the references, no matter what. Has anyone been interviewed at VMC and what has their experience been?

I am in wait mode as well I just did an interview last week, but wasn't told the timeframe to expect a callback. Was only told the program starts March 29. Do you know how many people they are talking in for the CCP?:confused:

Hey readytowork2010, Did they call your references as well? I have no clue how many people are they hiring and they will not give that information. I will keep you posted if I hear anything.

I checked with the people that filled out my reference forms, and not as of yet. Did you have your current employer or clinical instructors do your reference form? Who did they call the people from your reference forms or employers? And what type of questions did they ask? I'm so nervous I really really want this job. I didn't get any opportunity to ask any questions what about you. Also do you currently reside in Cali?

Yes, I had my clinical instructors do my reference form, but I dont know what kind of questions they asked them. I do reside in the SF bay area.

Hey readytowork2010 My interview was an hour long and I did get a chance to ask a few questions about the Critical Care Program. The interview felt very long, and tiring. How was your experience?

what units did you all interview at? I went through this program in August. PM with any questions you may have. As far as the hiring process; its slow. Check with the nurse recruiter or nurse manager you interviewed with.

I just got an offer for the Critical Care Program at VMC, YAY!! I am so relieved.. Finally I will start to work as a NURSE !!!!
