Hiring Process at Valley Medical San Jose anyone?

Published

Hi, I am a recent graduate and was interviewed for the Critical Care Program at Santa Clara Valley Medical, San Jose. It has been more than 3 weeks since the interview but have not heard from anyone. My interview went well and they even called my references. Is that a good sign, should I be excited? I am very nervous and wondering does Valley Medical have a standard policy to call the references, no matter what. Has anyone been interviewed at VMC and what has their experience been?

Yipee!! Its a great program taught by the super smartest nurses ever!! You will learn so so much that at times its will be overwhelming but VMC is a great learning opportunity.Congrats!

Congrats babbu did they call your references?

Yes, readytowork 2010 , they did call my references a while ago. You should hear from them soon, sounds like they have started notifying candidates about their decision. Goodluck to you as well.

so I got the thanks no thanks call today. I was told that they only took 2 new graduates in and that the rest the accepted was experienced nurse with icu or some type of critical care background. Not sure how true that is but, Good luck to everyone else:)

interesting...I just found this. I interviewed three times with the burn center and never heard yay or nay. Sounds like nay at this point. I am surprised I didn't get a call either way. Who notified you?

I am not sure why you got interviewed three times. There was just one interview with the Nurse Manager and she is the one who notified me about the job.

When does the program start?

It started today.:)

Hi babbu, i was wondering what unit you got hired on? I jsut interviewed for the TCNU this past friday and am anxiously waiting to hear back. the new grad program starts nov. 1st. how long did it take before you heard back from the nurse manager?
