I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

Generally as far as I know (at least, UCF for example), if you apply RN to BSN you're pretty much in. It's not really competitive, per se. Spring it is then. You'll be fine with a 3.7, trust me.

Well I was referring to just jumping right to BSN. But because I dont have an AA I have to go in as a freshman or lower trabsfer student. Its frustrating because I really want to have my BSN after all this. But looks like ill be in school an extra year and a half because ill have to do the bridge from RN-BSN at usf, bdcause ill be starting the ASN program at HCC. Sometimes I wish HCC just had a BSN program.. it would make it so much easier.

Hello all. I will be applying for Spring 2015 and had a question. On the website, the wording leads me to believe we need the background check when applying but, according to posts here, it's done after being accepted. Which is it?

Hello! I am new on here folks, I will be submitting my application into the nursing program for Spring 2015 DM nights/weekends. Waiting for this semester to finish hopefully I will end up with a 3.8.. worst case a 3.7 (keeping my fingers crossed).

How are you guys doing?

Hi Ihope...

If I am not mistake the background check is conducted by HCC, so all you need to do is sign the waiver (included in the application) giving them permission to do so, also part of the application fee goes to conducting the Background check.

Ok everyone only 3 more weeks! And semesterbis over and applications can go out.

@gradius I looked into usf unfortunately I have to have 8 to 10 credits foreign language or 2 years in highschool to transfer since I would be a lower level transfer. So I guess im apply for spring and praying for acceptance in the rn to bsn program or I may go straight for msn. We will see

I am in the same boat as everyone else here; trying to get in the Spring 2015 class. Nice to meet you and thank you for starting this thread! Has your life been as hectic as mine? I have literally studied over 5 hours every day since I started this semester (currently taking A&PII and Sociology). I have never worked this hard at anything in my life. 2 more weeks and we get to submit our applications.. Woot Woot!

Does anyone know approx. how long it takes for final grades to be posted for transcripts?

Hello ladies! On so izzy1234 my teacher said grades have to be in by may 6th... juliansmom my life is crazy.. im in micro and humanities . Humanities is driving me crazy because I hate history... and as for lab in micro, our lab final exam is next week thursday and is worth 50% of our grade! Ekkkkkk I did your classes ur taking now, last semester. Let me tell ya it wasnt easy but I did it. So can u... u got this

I would say right after may 6th.. so 2nd week of may is the latest. But my teacher said they have to enter all grades in by may6th. Im not sure if he was just saying that to shut me up.. Because I asked

@Silvach24 Micro can be brutal. Who are you taking it with? I took micro last summer in a hybrid form. It was super intense.

How about this TEAS test? How are you guys preparing for it ? I can't believe this , on top of all the stress from passing these classes they top it off with this? I can't even....right now :arghh:
